Arizona West Veterinary Clinic

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment only. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.  We do attempt to set aside time for urgent cases to be seen.  Urgent work-ins are scheduled in between regularly scheduled appointments and may require some waiting.  There is a small fee for Urgent work-ins.

Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.

All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

 'Drop Off' Exam

For your added convenience we offer 'drop-off' appointments. A 'drop off' means that for an additional nominal drop off boarding fee you can bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to 'drop off' sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.  This is not our prefered method of getting your pets in to see us as we do not have the benefit of speaking with you about your observations, but we do know how busy your schedule gets and would rather see your pet as a drop off then having the condition continue and cause additional discomfort for your animal.  Please call to schedule a regular appointment and if the availabilities are not to your satisfaction please know that 'drop off' appointments are available in most cases.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Children in the Hospital

We ask that for the safety of your children you do not leave them unattended at any time in our hospital.  We make every attempt to keep this hospital safe for all of our clients and their pets but this hospital is not child proof.  Please do not leave your children in the examinations room unattended with or without your pets.  Please do not leave your children in the waiting area unattended.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and personal checks with a valid driver's license.  We do not finance or provide payment options. We will now only accept cash or credit cards for after hours emergencies.
