Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pet's complete health care needs.  
      
Surgical Services:  Our well appointed surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.  We also make the most of a marvelous network of specialty hospitals in Phoenix, Tucson and San Diego for those cases that are more specialized than our facility can provide services for. 
   
Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored continuously during all anesthetic procedures.
    
Internal medicine consults: We offer referrals to veterinary medical specialists who will perform a variety of specialized treatments and they can help us with the diagnosis and care of more complex medical situations.
   
Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.  We can also provide email copies to specialists or other veterinary doctors as requested.  For a small fee we will provide a computerized copy (CD) of the radiographs along with the program that is required to view them.  This service has been met with great enthusiasm and success since our transition to digital radiography.    
   
Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
   
Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, oravet sealent applications and homecare instruction, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. 
   
Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory provides for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
    
Permanent identification: We offer HomeAgain microchip identification.  This service is very handy for those that travel.  

Preventative Testing: Heartworm is a dangerous and deadly disease carried by mosquitos and injected into dogs and cats.  We highly recommend a preventive medication like Heartgard.  We must do a quick blood test every 2 years in order to start and/or continue prescribing heartworm prevention to any patient.  It is always great when your dog gets his tasty heartworm chew every single month but biannual testing is still required.  We would be happy to do that quick little blood test at your yearly exam appointment.  Please don't hesitate to ask about the importance of regular heartworm testing and monthly heartworm prevention. 
    
Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.  We have a mail order pharmacy that we trust called ProxyRX.  ProxyRX is used to conveniently have your pets prescriptions mailed to you at home.  If you are already an established client you can call in your refill prescription and with a Dr's approval we can have your pet's prescription on the way in a couple of days.  In most cases we can price match other on-line pharmacies.  
   
Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.  Most Flea and Tick products are now sold over the counter.  We carry a full line of Frontline Flea and Tick prevention for both Cats and Dogs.  We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about flea and tick prevention and Frontline products. 

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.  We carry an extensive selection of Science Diet and Hill's Prescription Diets.  We also carry Royal Canin diets.  Please ask our dedicated staff to make a recommendation for your animal's dietary needs. 
    
Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.  We can also refer our more challenging cases to a behaviorist

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.

Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.
